Today is

"I saw in the sand the print of a man's naked foot."


As the pond in the Wildlife Loop dries, the deer invade.


In another part the egrets congregate.


For some, the circle of life is just beginning.


For these two, the circle is in the middle. The lower bald eagle is flying up to a stump with a newly killed herring gull. It sat and ate for quite a while, as it's mate flew to a higher branch.


Over on the other side, it was even earlier in the circle for these two.


Again with the snapping turtles! One of them had a raw deal.


About once every couple of minutes a head would pop up and gasp for air, then go back under.


I guess when this goes on for 90 minutes or more you need to use your claws...
